I have always had a special feeling and emotion for for Gucci handbags. As far as I’m concerned, the Cucci handbag is uncomparable, and it is the most eye-catching of all international designer handbags.

Lately, the Gucci Secret GG Satchael is published. I’m attracted deeply by its unique design and style. If I had to pick one phrase to describe the Gucci Secret GG Satchel, it would be “exceedingly grown-up.” Make no mistake about it – this bag is for a grown woman and it means business.

It doesn’t appear to be exactly the right size or shape to carry actual paperwork, but it does give the distinct impression of being an all work/no play sort of handbag. Perhaps its the sharp right angles or the rectangular, stiff shape. Perhaps it’s both, plus the dark-chocolate brown leather and crocodile trim that reminds me of the materials that are often used to make fine briefcases.

Whether or not those are negative things probably depend on your own personal style. Even though this Gucci Secret GG Satchael isn’t exactly in line with mine, I can’t help but admire its elegant lines and the rich-looking materials that comprise it.

Gucci G Coin Medium Hobo

When I first saw the Gucci G Coin Medium Hobo, I couldn’t help but think that the whole thing seemed kind of sedate for the Gucci aesthetic. I know that the brand has plenty of simple, clean-lined bags at a variety of price points, but whenever I see one of them, it just seems like they’re missing the point of being Gucci, for cryin’ out loud.

I’m one of the horde of Tom Ford fangirl holdouts, although I enjoy what Frida Giannini is doing with the brand more and more as the seasons go on. In fact, when I disregard the brand, I like what this bag has going on quite a bit.

The look this bag pushes is very tame, I’ll admit, but it’s also mature and not too showy. The namesake coin is the only branding that I can see from where I’m sitting, and the choice of shiny hardware instead of matte gives it a small pop of Gucci glam. As always, I also can’t say no to a good red bag. Good red is, after all, so hard to find. Overall,the color is beautiful, shape is practical, hobo is the best!

Gucci Galaxy Python Hobo

Every top brand uses exotics in a different way. Nancy Gonzales crocodile looks different than Balenciaga crocodile. Chloe  python looks different than Carlos FalchiCarlos python. And Gucci python is my favorite of all. Somehow, they manage to find skins that look somehow fuller and more touchable than some of their peers, and it’s always clear that their bags did indeed come from a living reptile. And I feel like it’s at least a bit more respectful to the animal to make a bag that really highlights the natural beauty of the skins that are used. 

And Gucci has maintained their history of beautiful python bags with the Gucci Galazy Python Hobo. Sometimes natural patterns can be hidden when they’re done in black, but the finish here has a bit of a shine to it, so it reflects enough light that the scale differentiation is easy to see. Some brands treat their bags in such a way that the python scales lay perfectly flat, which has clearly not been done here. I’m sure that that sort of treatment makes bags for durable, but it also makes it feel less luxurious to me, so I’d rather that part was left out, even if it means the bag won’t last quite as long. I’d rather have it be as beautiful as possible for as long as that look will hold up.
